Fethiye Gocek

It is just 50 km away from the FethiyeDalaman Airport. If you wish to spend your holiday around Fethiye and Göcek region, your start point may either be Fethiye or you may start this unique holiday from Göcek that is only 20 minutes away from the Airport. Again at the end of your holiday, You may deliver the boat to Göcek and reach at the airport in a short while.

Fethiye… It is safe port and sea city that provides any kind of opportunity. Besides Ecesaray marina, which has got capacity for hosting 400boats, there are some hotels with their own pier and marinas too. It is just 50 km away from Dalaman Airport. There is 12 minutes distance between Göcek and Fethiye.

Fethiye/Göcek

Göcek… There are six yacht ports in the town, which are important for big and international yachting. The most important feature of the town is that there are islands and bays within a quite safe and huge bay. It is 20 minutes away from Dalaman Airport. You may start your trip from Göcek.

Yassıca Island… These are many small and tiny islands that no one could give a name so as all of them are called as Yassıcalar . There is no facility at these islands. On the edge of the sandy ness of the biggest one a small natural pond is formed. It is like a special construction for small babies. You may live swimming between islands without any fear. The shortest distance is 12 meters between two islands. If you can swim for half an hour you may get around all four. If you wish you may embark on the islands and walk. But, do not forget to take sneakers with you. You may rope your boat to water gauges or beckets.

Göcek Island… This is the major factor for Göcek to be a natural port. It is placed just in the beginning of Göcekso that it protects Göcek from eastern, southeastern and southern winds to a great extent. There are many small and big beaches in this island. The most visited are the west coast and the İncirli bay that is placed in the east side. You may rope your boat to water gauges or red boys.

Boynuzbükü… There is roped pier of the restaurant for 20 boats. This bay is deep that is to say the depth is between 10-20 meters. The depth in Northwest is more suitable for anchoring.

Gate Bay (KapıKoyu)… It is a safe bay whre you may reside for days because of its fresh air and green woods. It is also called as Cleopatra Bay because of the Turkish Bath ( Hamam) wrecks those are said to be made for cleopatra just nearby the sea. It is special bay that keeps safe in any weather condition. It is so fun to dive among the baths.

Stone rock (Taşkaya) (BedriRahmi Bay)…This is the bay where almost all boats come alongside. There is a fish painting left from painterBedriRahmiEyüboğlu , who started the blue trip in Göcek bays, and a kite mosaic from AzraErhat. There are many safe places in the island.

Dockyard Island (Dockyard Bay)… You may reach this bay through a narrow canal as its entrance is barely signified. It is a safe bay. There are historical wrecks and a restaurant. The south-West recess and the east side are shallow. The shoaling starts in the middle of the bay and ends up in the sunk dockyard wrecks. It is one of the most special bays in Göcek. Except 10:30-16:00, which are the visiting times for trip boats in the summer, it is gorgeous. This is the biggest island in the bay. There are antiquities from the old Greek habitat, which was discharged after population exchange. In the island trip you will see the dockyard, which gives the name to the island, and a watchtower.

The summer and winter bays whose names are given by seamen, are places fro visit in blue voyage and daily trips. The winter bay, which is just after a narrow neck, is one of the places that many yachts haven against sudden storms. The entrance is too narrow. It is a nice bay for less boats. The northern shore and the south west edge of its port is suitable for land by stern. The east and north-east side are dangerous due to the rocks and sank harbour walls. The bottom is mossy and slimy.

Hamam Bay… It is a common point for blue cruise and daily boat trips. It is suitable for overnight. You may see the Byzantian antiquities, just beside the pier, most of with are underwater. You may debark from the boat and have a nice walk through the shore and within the wood. If you dare, you may climb to antique city Lydae after a 30 minutes walk from Cleopatra Hamam Bay or yavansu up to the hill. There are gazebo restaurants which give service to the boats. You may anchor to 20-30 meters with poop hawser.

Göbün Bay… It is a long bay with a narrow entrance located in the south of Pig Island surrounded by pine trees and olive trees . If you debark form the edge of the bay you may face with rock tombs and antiquities. It is a very safe bay with a hidden entrance. The depth is 5-7 meters, the west side is totally sandbank. There is a roped piere in front of its restaurant but it is shallow.

Sarsala Bay… You may cast off in front of the beach or its most safe place is the recess in the south. You may stay overnight by anchoring to 15-20 meters. There is a nice restaurant in the Minor Sarsala Bay that has got a pier where 30 boats may be roped. It is in a closer point to Dalaman Airport than Göcek from the land route .So as taxi waits in the shore. Airport transfer is possible from that bay.

 

Fethiye/Ölüdeniz

Turunçpınarı Bay… This bay is one of the best swimming places inFethiye Bay. Its name is coming from the freshwater fountain that is 400 meters high from the sea covered by many bitter orange trees. Its popular restaurant serves fisherman kebab, salt fish, honeyed lamb tandoori, raw fish and also fresh fruits and vegetables from its own backyard garden.

Boats Island… It is wonderful place holding antiquity from Lycian and Byzantian era. Especially in the summer, except 10:30-17:30, it is a distant bay that keeps you off from the water sports activities and seller boats etc. You may visit Afkule wrack by walking 15-20 minutes through the waterside. You may watch The wonderful view of Fethiye Bay and the sun set from that location.

Cold Water Harbour… It is a deep bay having a freshwater supply in Ölüdeniz area. It is small and cute and very crowded in the summer. There is a pathway towards Kayaköy, It may not be that protected if the wind blows from the south.

Butterfly Valley… is a natural treasure within the borders of Fethiye district Oludeniz Neighbourhood. The Butterfly Valley, is in the mountainside of Babadağ which is one of the 100 mountains suggested to be protected because of its endemic species. Butterfly Valley was reserved against any kind of construction after being defined as 1st degree natural protected area in 8th of February 1995.
