There is 75 miles betwenFethiye and Kekova. The route from Fetthiye/Göcek to Ölüdeniz, Kalkan, KaşveKekova is quite suitable for 1 week holiday.

Gemiler Island … It is a legendary island that if you may reach up its edge you may see Ölüdeniz, Butterfly Valley , Göcek Bay and opean sea. This island is also called as St. Nicholas. There is great history lying in the islands sunk part after a huge earthquake happened in A.D. 240s . You may see many wreckage alongside the island’s roads. You will have a sigh sitting and watching Mediterranean Sea in the churches or in the courtyards of the houses.

Fırnaz Bay… It is an irreplaceable stop for the blue trips as it is a rare place in which you can see the bottom of the sea like an aquarium You may have Clay bath in the small beach of the bay as it is believed that the clay makes people younger. In almost every plateau of the wide mountain which ends up with Delikkemer that is an antique water road passing through the north side of the Fırnaz Bay.

Kalkan… Its port does not have depth problem but it is narrow. There is shelter, which is run by the Municipality, that has got shower, toilet, laundry, a drainpipe unit and a Coastguard centre.

Kaş… Kaş is one of the major centres for diving tourism in our country. There is a great tourism potential in Kaş, which constitutes the nearest point to meis island, with its historical artefacts and natural beauties. In addition to the municipality shelter, which hosts 20 visitor boats, there is the Setur Marina, which was opened in 2011, having a dry dock arena for 160 yachts and capacity for hosting 472 yachts.

It is a favourite place for the diving fans. The best known caves, out of six around Kaş region, are Blue Cave, which is 18 km away from Kaş, Aşırlı Island Sea Cave and the Güvercinlik cave whose pigeons are famous. It is possible to swim in BüyükÇakıl (Big Stone) Beach, Küçükçakıl ( Small Stone9 beach, and in Akçagerme beach. Besides these, you may go to the Limanağzı Beach by rowboat.

Kekova… Kekova, is a small rocky island, which is in the shore of Kaleköy and Üçağız nearby Antalya /Demre district. It is often called as “Kekava” within the literature. There is no body living in this island although it has got square kilometres of area space. Transportation is handled by boats to this island , where you may find guest houses and cafés. It was a dispute , for a while after Italian invasion, that which country will own this island. Eventually, it is left to Turkey by 1932 agreement.

At the northern side, You may see sunk wrecks from antique city Dolkisthe , which was ruined by an earthquakle in 2nd century. Kekova was rebuilt in Byzantian era, but it could ne be developed due to Arabic invasions. Kekava and its habitat was defined as protected area by the Ministry of Environment and Foresty at 18 June 1990. Previosly it was decided to organize all swimming and diving activities by asking permission from the government. In time this prohibition was abolished except for the antique wrecks.
